I was born and raised in Nuneaton , a fairly large market town in the Midlands.
My family and myself then emigrated to Mallorca in 1989. After losing my dad to cancer in 2002 things sort of changed for our family , my sister and her new partner moving back to Aldershot.
When mum became ill we decided to also move back to the UK , somewhere I guess I will always consider as my home , going back to not quite to my roots but as near as.
Sadly we lost mum in 2016 also to cancer and this is where we first came across a celebrant.
Our lovely celebrant Julie provided mum with a beautiful service throughout which we laughed and we cried as she told her story, it was a true celebration of her life and the many milestones she had achieved.
I come from a musical family and my passion for singing still remains with me to this day.
I sing most weekends but in the I past was a full time singer also embarking on amateur theatre.
My last job was in medical insurance where I would arrange life saving evacuations and the other side sadly was the repatriation of our deceased members.
This entailed liaising closely with family members or next of kin , often in very delicate circumstances. A very challenging and stressful role but so rewarding once everyone was where they should be and receiving proper the treatment.
I have a real passion for helping and caring for others , so in February 2022 I decided to train as a celebrant to enable me to continue my journey assisting others but in a slightly different way.
I am fully trained , registered and insured with the International College of Professional Celebrants.
I can provide services for funerals , memorials , weddings , renewal of vows , baby naming and even services for your beloved pets.
